Luke Douglass is a 2023 recipient of the Blair F. Collings scholarship.

Please introduce yourself and what you currently do.
My name is Luke Douglass and I am a sophomore at Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I am a Secondary Math Education major with an English Education minor. On campus, I work as part of the audio/visual technology team, as well as part of the athletic event staff during sporting events. I also play in the campus “Symphonic Winds” concert band.

How has the Blair F. Collings scholarship impacted your educational journey?
The Blair F. Collings scholarship has been extremely helpful in my academic journey. Due to the various scholarships that I have received, not least of which is the Blair F Collings scholarship, I will be able to graduate from college with no student loans whatsoever! This has been a long-time goal of mine, and I am so excited to be able to achieve it.

What is your advice to students who are interested in applying for the current Blair F. Collings Scholarship Program for 2024?
My advice for students applying for the current Blair F. Collings scholarship program would be to consider all your extracurriculars and leadership activities and make sure to describe them in detail. Extra details in this case are never a bad thing!
